Welcome to Dads Dey

I’m Rodney Quarcoo, a father of two, photographer, visual content producer, and the host of Dads Dey: The African Fatherhood Podcast.

I started this because I believe we don’t talk enough about fatherhood from an African perspective.

Across the continent and throughout the diaspora, fathers are navigating changing expectations, balancing work and family, learning from their own parents, and figuring things out one day at a time. These are conversations worth having—not because any of us has all the answers, but because we can learn from one another.

This is the home of the podcast, where I’ll share new episodes, behind-the-scenes thoughts, and the occasional reflection inspired by the conversations we’re having.

If you’re a father, hope to become one, were raised by one, or simply care about family and the role fathers play in shaping the next generation, I think you’ll find something here that resonates.

My hope is that these conversations encourage us to become more present, more intentional, and more connected, to our children, our families, and ourselves.

Thanks for being here.

You’re always welcome.

Rodney
